Classroom Policies and Procedures.
This is an exciting but challenging year for your child. My goal is to provide them with the knowledge they need to succeed third grade in a fun environment. During your child's first week back at school, we will focus on classroom expectations and school expectations. Below are the classroom policies and procedures your child will be expected to adhere.
The Quiet Signal: "Freeze Please"
1. Stop Working.2. Hand up.
3. Quiet.
4. Eyes on the Speaker
5. Listen.
Classroom Procedures
Entering the classroom:
1. Sit on the bench until I let you in the room.
2. Walk (not run) in quietly.
3. Sit at your assigned seat and wait for instructions.
In the morning:
1. Lunch count.
2. Daily Graph
3. Turn homework in at homework station.
4. Complete bellwork.
5. Sit quietly at table and work on bellwork (read once complete).
6. Complete student jobs.
7. Be respectful of others working.
Instruction time:
1. Listen attentively and quietly.
2. Remain in seat.
3. Participate during cooperative learning.
4. Only use the restroom during break time or when teacher is not speaking.
End of the day:
1. Make sure all class assignments have been completed and turned in.
2. Make sure all homework assignments have been written in agenda and are in backpack to take home.
3. Complete student jobs.
4. Dismissal by the teacher NOT the bell!
